  • Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni signed the Anti-Homosexuality Act, which bans sex education for the LGBTQ+ community, encourages conversion therapy, and calls for life imprisonment for anyone who has sexual relations with the same sex.
  • Russia’s Interior Ministry issued an arrest warrant for U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham due to his comments supporting Ukraine in the Russo-Ukrainian War.
  • Bola Tinubu was sworn in as President of Nigeria (see 2/28).
  • Turkey President Tayyip Erdogan won reelection following the presidential runoff (see 5/28).
